In recent updates, Blizzard has made some revisions to the competitive scene. Last week, developers announced that performance-based SR will no longer exist in the Diamond and higher competitive rankings, something Blizzard has considered the community for some time. Performance-based SR was largely considered one of the reasons a single trick was a problem in the game: players would lose or win SR based on their own personal performance, not so much if the team won or he was losing. This meant that players could play less popular heroes (and thus have a smaller group to compare with players of any rank), which made them experience inflated SR gains, less SR losses and faster ranking.
Worse, performance-based SR has led to a “state capitulation,” that is. doing parts that weren’t in the best service of the team or to win the game, just to make the game customer feel like you had a good performance, even if your team lost, reducing the “SR penalty” if you want. Some players would immediately consider a game as a wasted effort even after the first team fight and end the “soft launch” of a game, or they would appear to play without really contributing to the team. Removing the SR based on performance at higher ranks could lessen this problem, while leaving it at lower ranks can help players who really deserve to climb the ladder.
At high levels, this could be a great thing for the competition scene. Players, on the other hand, would have more incentive to win at any cost than to lose to protect their own SRs.
However, this brings some problems to the table, because ultimately this decision eliminates the individual’s autonomy to control their game. In contrast, a loss or a win depends entirely on 5/6 of a player’s team dependence. This may favor additional toxicity in the community, as players have to cede control of their rank to the essential aliens to a much greater degree.
In some cases, the problem with SR has been published for presumption as well, or other statistics difficult to quantify – How many players are factual compilations of the liner consciously and how many players as a whole have been trailing the center? The performance-based SR subject might encourage a scapegoat for a much bigger issue, So far, with no numbers, with the game. The throwers would be kind of underappreciated in order to force them to keep, so if they hurt their SR more in the process, the “soft throw” made you appear to make a clear contribution if they weren’t. So, is caring a major issue with caring competence for players to feel negative about their expertise? Have you ever thought about behavior based on behavior or received a reward for group behavior?
It remains to be seen how it changes in the future of season 8, when it starts in January, the scale will be affected. For now, the best thing you can take care of to deal with the competitive community is what players might need to work first and foremost – to play as a team and to play for a Win.
