It is important to know that the feet muscles make up 25% of the body’s total muscles. With age, feet grow weak and start developing painful conditions such as hammertoe and plantar fasciitis. In addition to getting treatment, you need to try these simple ways to strengthen and relax your feet.

Regular Toe Yoga

One of the most recommended ways of relaxing and strengthening your foot muscles is to practice toe yoga regularly. Yoga experts recommend going for toe yoga to people who are experiencing foot injuries or muscle tension. So, what you need to do is to move each toe independently. Choose the Right Footwear

When it comes to healthy feet, fashion and footwear do not usually go hand in hand. When talking about foot health, you cannot wear flip-flops and high heels. Yes, flip-flops! They are terrible for your feet as they do not bend well and do not allow your feet to move naturally. So, people with foot injuries and muscle soreness should avoid wearing them. Similarly, high-heels cause irreversible foot complexities. They shorten your calf muscles and harm them, resulting in several foot problems such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon. Thus, you should opt for soft-soled footwear that will allow your feet to move comfortably.

Feet Massage

Feet are the part of the body where you can perform massage by yourself efficiently. It is one of the best ways to relax and strengthen your foot muscles. You need to perform a deep tissue massage by gently rubbing and pressing your feet to promote blood flow. You can also try soaking your feet in lukewarm water and apply oil to massage the arch and toes of your feet. Doing so will help reduce any tiredness in no time.
