If you have been thinking about giving botox a try, or you are simply curious to know more about it, then here are the answers to some of your most commonly asked questions.
Is Botox Safe?
For many years there were concerns around the safety of botox, and these were completely unfounded. The reason why these exist is because many would use alternative chemicals to achieve the same look as botox, and they inevitable went wrong. The answer is that botox is absolutely, 100% safe, and there is nothing at all to worry about. The only time botox is not safe, is if the product is out of date.
How Much Does It Cost?
Prices will vary depending on where you go to have your botox administered. The average cost per unit however is $10-$15, and in most cases you will have between 15 and 20 units administered, depending on what results you are looking for.
Does Botox Hurt ?
The injections really do not hurt and you can expect to have 5 of them across your forehead and on the corner of your eyes. The injections go under the skin and not into the flesh, which is why the worst that you are likely to feel is a scratch when the needle goes in, and then nothing when the product is administered.
Does Botox Last Forever?
Sadly no, botox will not last forever and eventually your body will begin to absorb the chemical and the effects will disappear. The time frame which you are looking at is anywhere between 3 months and 6 months, and this will very much depend on how well you look after your skin. If you are careful with your skin and you treat it well, there is no reason why you cannot expect to see the results or the full 6 month period.
Is Botox Instant?
If you plan to get your botox injections for a particular event then you should ensure that you plan ahead well. This is because it is going to take an average of 7 to 10 days for the effects to take hold. This is not an instant change which you are going to see, because the product needs some time to do its job first.
Will Botox Always Have The Same Impact ?
There is a reason why it is not recommended for you to get botox every 6 months, and that is because over time the effects simply won’t be the same each time. Your body will not react as well each and every time and so it is always better to wait a while and then go for more in the future.
